Although TOPs are generally secure, certain precautions must be respected:

Absolute contraindications

• Acute psychotic episodes
• Psychiatric decompensation
• Severe dissociative states

Special precautions

• Severe anxiety disorders
• Recent traumatic history
• Cardiovascular pathologies

Recommendations

• Support by a trained professional
• Progression adapted to each individual
• Immediate stop in case of discomfort
